Bazooka BTA10100 BT Series 10-Inch 100-Watt Amplified Tube Subwoofer (Boss KIT-2 Complete 8 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit)

As all-in-one solutions go, you simply can’t beat the A100 Amplified Bass Tubes by Bazooka. Designed to be a simple-to-install, yet effective upgrade to your car’s existing mobile audio system, the A100 Bass Tubes feature a 100 watt, 2-channel amplifier built right in, coupled to a dual voice coil 10-inch woofer. Since the amplifier has a built in crossover to remove the high frequencies the woofer cannot play from the signal, you get exactly what you need in the A100′s–crisp, clean bass and nothing more. When connected to your system, the end result is seamless integration, both electrically and audibly, yielding sound quality your factory autosound system simply can’t touch.

BT Amplified Bass Tubes
The new amplified Bazooka subwoofers feature the legendary patented Bass Tubes enclosure design, but with a twist. These units are completely self-contained bass monsters. Available in 100-Watt BTL or 250-Watt Class D amplifier configurations, the new amplified Bazooka subwoofers are the true solution to the common automobile interior problem of “not enough space for bass.”

A Bazooka subwoofer adds the bass, clarity, and realism that your system is missing with absolutely no modifications to your car, its warranty, or its original audio system. If you are leasing your car, there is no better way to upgrade your stereo system than by adding a Bazooka subwoofer.

The BTA10100
The BTA10100 features a 10-inch dual voice coil subwoofer, and works great in the trunks of sedans or hatchbacks. Simply point it into the rear corner to take advantage of the Bass Tubes Enclosure, and you’re rockin’ in no time!

The Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosure is optimized for corner loading. The Bass Tubes enclosure’s port and woofer are on the same plane and in close proximity for maximum corner-loading results. And, just like a megaphone amplifies a cheerleader’s voice, the corner of your car amplifies the concentrated bass output of the Bass Tubes enclosure.

As with all Bazooka Bass Tubes Enclosures, the BTA10100 comes with straps to keep the sub securely mounted, while still making removal quick and easy if you need even more cargo room.

BTA10100 Features
Grill
The grill is both decorative and protective, preventing the Subwoofer from accidental damage from other items, such as golf clubs, groceries or book bags that might be tossed into the cargo area where the Bazooka Woofers are typically mounted. Woofer
Bazooka’s highly efficent, customized woofers are specifically designed and reinforced for use in the Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosure, producing a pure piston action and generating the maximum bass output possible. Edge Roll
All Bazooka Woofers used in Bass Tubes enclosures feature large, high excursion, lightweight foam edge rolls to maximize their efficiency and overall bass output. Tube Enclosure
A tube is a natural pressure vessel, and Bass is about pressure. The patented Bass Tubes enclosure creates a natural, uniform, hydraulic transfer of the Bass energy produced by the woofer. Port
The port opening between the Tube Enclosure and the Port Tube allows for efficient transfer of bass. Bass Tubes enclosures utilize “Bass Reflex” technology to take advantage of both the forward and backward of the woofer, wasting no bass energy. Port Tube
The bass energy created by both the forward and backward motion of the woofer are time aligned so that 100% of the woofer’s output is concentrated into one output point. Acoustic Damping Fiber
The acoustic damping material helps lower the resonance of the enclosure and simulates an increased air space. Integrated Amplifier
The integrated amplifiers are performance matched to the specific woofers used in Bass Tubes enclosures to ensure that every watt of power is efficiently turned into bass performance. Having the amplifier integrated into the enclosure simplifies installation and eliminates power loss. Corner Loading
Bass Tubes enclosures are specifically designed to take advantage of the natural amplification characteristics that occur when a subwoofer is placed into the corner of a vehicle. The corner acts like a megaphone, substantially increasing bass performance.

Bazooka Add-ons
Use Bazooka’s F.A.S.T. harnesses to make installation even easier. They’re a simple way to protect your vehicle’s warranty by making installation a plug-in process. The T-shaped harness has three ends: one plugs into your car’s OE radio, one plugs into the plug you removed from the OE radio, and the third end runs all the way back to the rear of the car and plugs into your A100 Bazooka subwoofer. Great for leased vehicles, the F.A.S.T. systems are available for most popular cars.

Bazooka’s RBCM-100 Remote Bass Control Module allows you to control the amount of bass from the driver’s seat.

Optional Chrome-Plated UMS Brackets give a flashier look, as well as a more secure, permanent mounting when removal isn’t a problem.

  1. Roger Noonan Says:

This sub makes a nice addition to the factory system in any car. Produces deep reverberating bass that happily, is not usually noticed a few feet away from the car. Only you know what you’re enjoying. It is easy to install and the inbuilt amplifier makes it a one-unit addition to any system.

  2. Jamie Rigwell Says:

I used this kit with a BOSS compact sub. It installed perfectly into a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I would definitely buy this item again, even if I wasn’t installing a BOSS sub. Its pretty flexible and provided me with plenty of wiring. I would recommend it without hesitation.

  3. Paul Turner Says:

For what it is, it’s fantastic, and it packs PLENTY of power into my SUV, be sure you really tighten it up though if installing in a high CoG vehicle, ass acceleration + vibration will see it loosen itself and go flying across your storage area.

  4. Richie Morgan Says:

For the price you cant beat this. It may not be the best or most expensive kit out there but it has what you need to get the job done. I have ordered 2 of these kits to install amps and subs in my pick-up and my OLs car.

  5. Jesse Allaria Says:

A decent kit of reasonable quality. It will definitely get the job done and is perfect if you’re on a budget. Had plenty of cable left after wiring the amp in under the rear seat of my Jeep Cherokee. I recommend heat shrink tubing to seal everything up nice around the clips and wire grommets.

  6. John Zajaros Says:

Only thing i will say if you buy this make sure the your amp wont blow the fuse i havent had it blow yet but then again im not pushing a monster amp just a kenwood 300 watt people keep saying its crap but really its not there hooking up “Nitrous to a Stock Honda Civic” and expect it not to fail

  7. K Turner Says:

the price says it all. low quality, less copper than advertised, SMALL cable ties, peices of crap (i had to double them up for most applications). speaker wire was a joke, (went and bought real wire) the power cable was a joke (went and bought a real power cable) all in all, dont waste your money on this kit, buy something for a little more, or just buy wire yourself, you dont need a “kit”. wire is wire after all, just get fine stranded wire, so its easier to manage. people dont realize that car audio wire is “car audio wire” just because its fine stranded and easy to run. it wont destroy your system if you use non car audio wire, itll just be more difficult to run the wire threw your car.

  8. Karon Thackston Says:

If you aren’t looking to go into competition or anything than these are perfect. The wires are all what they claim, and they are pretty good 8 Gauge at that. This is perfect if you are looking to get pretty loud sound, but nothing to make your car fall apart. 5/5 if this is what youre looking for. I love Boss Audio, they rarely let me down.

  9. Jeremy Lambert Says:

Installed in 2006 4Runner cargo area. It rounds out the music very well at lower volumes. You can crank it up and have some decent bass. I used to run two JL 10s so this is a far cry from that, but then again, I’m 35 now with a 18 month old. I was looking for rich full music and this delivered exactly what I wanted. I only gave it four stars, not on performance, but on size. It’s a tad bigger than I anticipated. I’m a happy camper though!

  10. Shweta Menon Says:

This does exactly what’s it supposed to do. I would have liked a few more large gauge ring connectors though.

  11. Don Fenn Says:

very good product its working with my sony xplod amp and it work perfec just wat i spected thank a lot

  12. Mike F Morgan Says:

Thanks to the reviews on Amazon when I purchased a new BOSS Audio sub-woofer for my truck, there was mention of this kit and how beneficial it was in completing installation. It made the install go much more smoothly than I could have imagined. From start to finish it took me an hour and ten minutes to run all the wiring (nicely hidden I might add), mount the sub, make all connections between the battery, sub and head unit, and have the music playing.

For the money, the sub and installation kit are a great deal. You’ll get your money’s worth.

I honestly think BOSS Audio should include this kit with their sub and raise the price to reflect the addition. It would just make things easier.

  13. Venus Q. Ruiz Says:

Well the RCAs im ok with but the power and ground wire were just too small when they actually got here. The wire doesnt even look thick and even after that its like a 1/2 inch of rubber. Definatly dont buy it if you want thick wire, but if 8 guage will do it for you theyre pretty good. I have no complaints. other than the wire is kinda short and the ground is outrageouly short for me. but if intalled in a trunk i dnt see a problem but i intalled in an ext cab pickup

  14. Raymond Edeh Says:

This is a great kit that comes with everything that you need to get started. The speaker wire though is deffinetly not 16 gauge wire but i used my own 10 gauge speaker wire and it works great. The remote wire is kind of thin but it works and gets the job done. The RCA cable is of good quality and provides good sound and clearness. The red power cable is a good thick cable that is able to handle the volts from the battery along with a very good and durable fuse. This kit is a good quality kit that i would recommend for anyone looking for good sound and reliable wires. The wires were all long enough and I had plenty extra so it would work for a full sized vehicle as well as small vehicles.

  15. Sarah Jose Says:

the review says it all…for a budget system..get this

    terminators are the greatest… but like i said…budget system…

  16. Harrison Loke Says:

For the price this kit is alright. Its most definitly not 8 gauge power wire tho more like 10 or higher. No complaints about the fuse so far. Everything else included in this kit is crap.

  17. Justin Brown Says:

This has everything you need to install an after market amplifier for your car. The wires are plenty long enough, have a nice gauge of good braided wire, and a good fuse box. The considering this was about 1/4th the price of some of the other brands out there, this is a great buy.

  18. Janice L. Richardson Says:

i gt this n put it in my car with my 3000 watt mone noting big n the wire handle great fuse is great n great price!!!!

  19. Nick Robinson Says:

It had everything I needed to hook up my amp. The power wire was long enough to snake all the way through the cab, through the firewall and to the battery with some left over. It has a good inline fuse, and an 8 ga. ground wire. The set provides several types of connectors for each wire and a few small cable ties. I actually didn’t have to go and buy anything extra. I did use a different speaker wire that I already had–one with more insulation.

  20. Mason JMC Rudolph Says:

Judging from a lot of the reviews here people seemed to be expecting more. Like expecting to pay more for the same or less. I looked at several kits here and elsewhere and I went ahead and ordered this for installing a Boss Bass1200 in a Tacoma pickup (I don’t need to rock the car next to me, just me and my passengers). The fuse holder alone costs as much elsewhere (I saw the exact one) as the who kit does here. I don’t do this professionally. Install car audio components. I don’t have a tool drawer full of 8 gauge wires and nuts and crimp-on fittings (well, some) so this kit looked like the right thing and is enough to do the job with stuff left over. I’ve got a few niches open in my toolbox to fill. If you’re a pro, or a wannabe-pro, I’m not talking to you. If you’re a new car owner or someone just trying to upgrade his/her car stereo and you need a kit like this, buy it. It’s a good deal.

  21. Beamer M Anderson Says:

Have it in my full size sedan. Adds a nice little punch of bass. Makes the music seem fuller with this since my factory subs went out. You can get this same thing for half the price at dealercostcaraudio.com.

  22. Mike Marciano Says:

I would have given this product 5 stars, but the fuse holder melted. I bought two of these kits, one for my component speakers and the other for my sub. It may have melted because I needed to run 4 gauge wire to my subs instead of the 8. Other than that bought kits have worked fine.

  23. Patrick Arden Says:

It easily fits in the corner of your car trunk and adds vivid bass to your present stereo system. It was well worth the money

  24. Robert E Darby Says:

This kit does have everything you need (plus some extra connectors which was fantastic) however the 8 gauge wiring is stiff and compared to kicker 8 gauge wiring it does not have 1/3 the amount of strands. The sheilding is very thick so you should have no problems running it through firewall with minimal concerns of stripping wire (still use rubber if fitting if possible).

The price is right. I used the connectors, fuse box/fuse, and remote wire from this kit but went to a local shop to purchase a higher quality signal wire (supplied would probably have worked fine but if i am going to spend a day tearing the inside of my car apart, i figured i might as well install a high quality signal wire for mids and highs to lessen the chance of any engine noise). I also purchased 21 feet of kicker 8 gauge wire which was much more flexable and had much more wire inside (extremely easy to work with, the flexability alone paid for itself).

You would spend more than 12 dollars on a fuse/signal wire/remote wire/connectors at radio shack so i do not feel as though it was a waste of money; however, if you are running any more than a 200 watt RMS amp i would upgrade the power and gnd wire to something a little more substantial.

Just my thoughs, i am by no means a pro stereo installer but i have done quite a few installs over the past 10 years and know a quality wire when i see one.

  25. Robert Clemente Says:

the really good weirs thick and long its a good price for this product buy it you wont be disappointed

  26. David S Philips Says:

Everything I needed to wire my amp, quality components and ring terminals and thick wires. The speaker wire it came with was great too. Don’t dump a ton of $ of Monster Cables, just because they have a name. It’s good stuff and I recommend this kit. For around $12 you absolutely can’t go wrong.

  27. Nidhi Bajoria Says:

For the price I can’t complain. I’d recommend to someone putting in a Boss powered subwoofer, but if you were spending hundreds on an amp I’d probly want to spend a little more and get a better fuse block and wires.

  28. J Y Vance Says:

As stated in the title “undersize wire, CHEAP zipties”. But it has everything there for a low budget, low powered amp install. However it does NOT have provisions for hooking the main hot wire to a side terminal battery. Even so… still for a low power install it’s fine.

  29. Jovy Thomas Says:

I used to have a bazooka 8″ 50 watt in my 4-runner, then I upgraded to the 10″ and immediately heard a difference. The 10″ sub has a much greater response range, and better overall tone. Even though it is a 100W, I hardly need that much. The bazookas are able to make a richer and stronger bass with less wattage than a box sub. I am very satisfied with the subwoofer!

  30. Ken Okel Says:

I read a lot of reviews on the product. Some good, some mediocre and some terrible. I’m not a huge fan of the phrase you get what you pay for, but in the car audio world…it’ true. I can safely say that this product is mediocre to bad.

The wiring isn’t the gauge it claims. That’s only slightly disappointing to me really. Cheapy car audio manufacturer have been over exaggerating their product for years. Shady? Dishonest? Yes. But it’s expected for the price.

The problem I had was not with the wiring but with everything else. The hardware was useless. Boss skimped big on it. Same with the fuse holder, and the fuse holder I kept reading was the only decent quality part. Before I opened the thing, one of the gold studs fell out rendering the thing near useless without some rigging. I expected brand new equipment to not fall apart before you take it out of the box. Oh well.

At the end of the day, you unfortunately get what you pay for. The wires do work, they are of questionable quality. They were wrapped nicely and the insulation is decent and color coded as expected. The rest of the kit belongs in the dump. It may be worth the $10 to you, it worked for me…just not too well.

  31. John K Hill Says:

I bought this item with a boss audio amplified subwoofer. It is made a little cheap, but all and all it came with everything that you need to hook up a car amp and subwoofer. It has plenty of wire to reach for those bigger cars. I would recommend this product if youre on a budget. Worked great for me.

  32. Rich Henderson Says:

If you plan on comparing this amp kit to a $50 8 gauge wiring kit of course its not going to be the same thickness. its all about expense ratios. you should plan on spending about 10% of what you paid for your amp on your wiring kit. If you don’t spend more than $120 on your amp then this wiring kit should do just fine but if you have the budget and buy an expensive amp then don’t skimp on your wires. and for the price you really can’t complain just remember, you get what you pay for.
